Applying For Financial Aid
Financial aid from Piedmont is figured by a two step process (visit Financial Aid for more information):
The first step is to determine your documented financial need:
the difference between Piedmont’s total cost and what your family can
contribute. This need is determined when you fill out the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which can be downloaded at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Piedmont’s Title IV code is 002956. If you have questions about the FAFSA call
toll free 1-800-433-3243. The FASFA also determines your eligibility for
federal programs (Pell, Stafford Loans, etc.)
The second step is for admitted students. Piedmont’s financial
aid office computes need by adhering to a standard formula. Determining factors
include taxable and nontaxable income, assets, family size, number of
dependents in college and unusual circumstances. All students interested in
applying for institutional financial aid must complete Piedmont’s Financial Aid
Application (see Downloads section below). New and returning students must complete a Financial Aid Application by April 30th to receive full awards. .
The Financial Aid Office may be reached at 1-336-725-8344 x.7987 or by email.
