Mr. Tim Gerber
Biography I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of seven, and had the privilege of attending a Christian school throughout my educational experience.
During my senior year in high school, I rededicated my life to Christ and felt God’s call to attend Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. As a freshman, I felt God wanted me to be an attorney and entered the pre-law track. During the spring of my first year, I felt and accepted God’s call to full-time Christian service. At the time, I had a peace about teaching and coaching in a Christian school, so I changed my major to Education.
Following graduation, I married my high school sweetheart, who had also attended BJU and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught for a couple of years in the middle and secondary grades, but didn’t have a peace that God wanted me to work with this age group. In the meantime, I had became heavily involved in the children’s ministry at my church in a lay role, and in 1994 I accepted a position as Children's Pastor at Triad Baptist Church. That is where God has me ministering to this day, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in such a wonderful way!
In 2002, God called me to graduate school to pursue a Master's in Children's Ministry, which I received in 2006. It was a wonderful start to an exciting journey, and I look forward to "sharing the road" with other young people who have a passion to minister to children, as well!
I have a wonderful wife, Kim, and three children - Meagan (20), Tyler (16) and Madision (12). We live in Kernersville, NC with our dog, Macie.
