Dr. Ron Smith
Chair of Music Division
Biography Dr. Smith grew up in southeastern Ohio. His wife is Alice and they have three sons, two daughters in law and two grandchildren. Dr. Smith taught at Huntington Christian Academy from 1978-1980. From 1980 to 2006 he taught at Pensacola Christian College. He has been at Piedmont Baptist College and Graduate School since 2006 and began serving as chair of the Division of Music since 2007. Dr. Smith is a bass trombonist and has played professionally with a number of different ensembles over the years. Musically his interests are in teaching low brass and conducting ensembles. His favorite Bible verse is Luke 9:23.
